AURORA Biography
AURORA is a Norwegian vocalist and performer born in 1996. The Stavanger native began learning piano at an early age and fell in love with classical music and melodies. AURORA began composing original material in her teenage years before releasing her debut single in 2012, entitled "Puppet."
AURORA would sign a record deal the following year and release her second single in 2015, followed by her breakout single "Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)," which garnered her attention in the press and country alike. The following year she had expanded an audience in the states, performing on multiple late night television programs. AURORA would see great success over the year, reaching a height with her song "Into the Unknown" off of the Frozen II soundtrack before her 2014 song "Runaway" gained heavy traction on the social media platform TikTok.
AURORA has had four projects earn a Platinum certification by the IFPI NOR, including her debut album, All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend, which went double Platinum and topped the Norwegian charts. Her singles have earned six certifications in total in her home country, and charted twice on those respective charts. AURORA’s single "Runaway" would reenter the charts and top the US Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, as well as earn a Gold certification from the RIAA.
AURORA recently released another single from her third album entitled "Cure For Me," which has been well-liked by fans and critics alike.
