Tones and I is an Australian musician and performer born in Victoria. After family members complimented her singing ability, she would soon start a YouTube channel and post covers and a cappellas. By 2014, Tones and I had joined a duo and gotten experience performing across her country before experiencing success as a busker. She would meet her manager this way in 2017 and by the following year she was committed to music full-time.

Tones and I would sign a deal with Sony’s Australian branch in 2019 and release her debut single in the spring. By the summer she released the follow-up, "Dance Monkey," which proved to be her breakout hit thanks to it’s poppy melody and success on social media platforms such as TikTok. Tones and I would begin landing festival gas and perform in North America and Europe before dates got cut short due to COVID-19.

Tones and I debut single would be certified triple Platinum by the ARIA. Her breakout hit, "Dance Monkey," would top the charts in Australia as well as Germany, Ireland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. It would peak at #3 on the US Rock chart and #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Tones and I would receive a 15x Platinum certification from the ARIA and a quadruple Platinum certification from the RIAA. In total, she has had nine singles chart in Australia, of which five broke into the top 15.
