Alok Biography

Alok is a Brazlian performer and musician born in 1991. The Goiás native grew up in a musical family with both of his parents being DJs involved in the electronic and psytrance sound of the country’s underground scene. Alok would begin producing music along with his brother during his teenage years before pursuing a solo career in adulthood.

Alok quickly rose to become one of the tastemakers in Brazilian music. By 2016 he would release his breakout single "Hear Me Now" with Bruno Martini and Zeeba, which charted in a handful of country as well as the states. Alok would release his debut album that same year and an EP the following before forming his own record label, UP Club Records.

Alok ’s breakout hit would peak at #54 on the Brazilian charts and be certified triple Platinum by the PMB. The record would also peak at #20 on the US dance & electronic chart. In total, Alok has had fourteen song certified by the PMB, including three diamond singles and a double Diamond single for Ocean" with Zeeba and Iro.

Alok’s has released a number of singles in 2021, including "It Don’t Matter" with Sofi Tukker and Inna, peaking at #27 on the dance charts.
